Takeaways
Through my 12 weeks intership at Amazon I become more confident in starting a research project from sratch.
Engaging different stakeholders and exchanging ideas allows me to learn about user’s complaints and select approriate research methods. During the planning phase, it is always beneficial to set up a trial run to spot any issues and recover quickly. At the end, when delivering results, the recommendations should be specific and even with visuals to better convey my ideas to design and product partners.
In addition, to create impact as a researcher, combine different types of data to validate the findings can make the story more persuasive. Not only the quotes from user interviews, the user log, and their feedback are all resouces for researcher.
At the end, researchers at the team should invent in efficient ux process and simplify the sturcture for future work. For instance, I created templates for screening participants and heuristic evaluation, and those templates can be reused to save time for future work.
